Colemore
Common, Certificate of Lawful use Update The Hampshire Microlight Club as applied for a certificate of lawful use for Colemore Common Airfield. The impending creation of a "Southdown’s National Park" prompted the club to collect club records and apply for a certificate. This is not planning permission! It is a certificate that anyone may apply for when land has been used for a purpose other than intended for over 10 years to protect the right of continued use. The Hampshire Microlight Club has been resident at the field for 20 years from Summer 1988! With quiet consideration for our neighbors we have been operating without receiving any recorded complaints, we think you will agree that’s a considerable record. In fact it is practical testament to the “Hampshire Microlight Club Operational Policy”, this policy is in support of minimising any impact on the local community and has proven to be a success. This notice is simply to offer to listern to any objections and concerns directly, and give you the oportunty to ask questions, so that you may make up your own mind. If you are worried by what you have been told and want to hear for yourself, I will be delighted to take your call or if you simply want to make your own point. I look forward to speaking to you. Daryl
Cornelius – Chairman If you would prefer to arrange to visit so that you can see first hand what all "the fuss" is about please call and arrange a time. Airfields have procedures to follow and we would ask you not to enter the field without Prior Permission, for your own safety.
The
field is financed by the club members and runs at a loss, before we
factor in the time, effort and expence in cutting the grass. Your contribution
as a member is important in keeping this airfield open. As a member
you may visit the field as often as you wish without other landing fees
in any microlight, or foot launched, this is not a commercial proposition,
more a community of fellow flyers. That said, do please feel welcome
to visit, anytime,
